About Bailey & Me

“Animal lovers are a special breed of humans, generous of spirit, full of empathy, perhaps a little prone to sentimentality, and with hearts as big as a cloudless sky”― John Grogan (Marley & Me)

I’m a first time Labrador owner who often questions, how in the world is my dog this smart!?!

During the first year with Bailey, we’ve experienced many struggles including: obedience issues, separation anxiety, food allergies, yeast infections, ear infections and a torn ACL, which lead to TPLO surgery. There were some things we did incredible well (beginners luck) and others that we failed miserably at (ignorance is not bliss with a smart dog).

I’ll be sharing all we’ve learned during the past two years, as well as our new adventures ahead! I hope you’ll add to the conversation.

Thanks for reading. I hope you’ll come back often. You can also follow us on Twitter @labradormama.

I just stumbled upon your blog. I have a 4 month old Chocolate Lab and I can’t stop taking photos of her. I have 2 blogs, a Facebook page, a webpage and Google Plus to share my over-the-top fascination with her. But I am spreading stuff about her too thin so I am now planning a webpage or another blog devoted to her.I will be announcing its birth on Outdoors Indoors soon. I love your blog.
